@Hevlastka A reskinned, lighter, faster Ubuntu. And at least in my experience it's also more stable. I rarely see an Ubuntu installation without random critical error messages popping up out of nowhere.
The UI of eOS is very simplified(and you can't change much), so I guess not everyone will like it. But it makes sense to me, and the rest runs fine too in my experience. -
I installed it on my abondoned windows 8 laptop. Now I can use it. I hate windows, now I have a nice clean interface that I can use when not at my desktop (Mac). It would also be a great OS for non computer literates as it's dead straight forward for old people. It's great.

Try it yourself in a VM. It works perfectly in virtual environments. I personally don't like it, because I don't like "fake" stuff. I won't buy a laptop, that looks like a MacBook, just because it would be considered fake.

@elcore my arch linux looks the same. I tweaked gnome 2 months ago randomly and installed extensions and now it looks like that apricity os.(except the desktop background) 😁😁
