@Hevlastka A reskinned, lighter, faster Ubuntu. And at least in my experience it's also more stable. I rarely see an Ubuntu installation without random critical error messages popping up out of nowhere.
The UI of eOS is very simplified(and you can't change much), so I guess not everyone will like it. But it makes sense to me, and the rest runs fine too in my experience. -
I installed it on my abondoned windows 8 laptop. Now I can use it. I hate windows, now I have a nice clean interface that I can use when not at my desktop (Mac). It would also be a great OS for non computer literates as it's dead straight forward for old people. It's great.

Try it yourself in a VM. It works perfectly in virtual environments. I personally don't like it, because I don't like "fake" stuff. I won't buy a laptop, that looks like a MacBook, just because it would be considered fake.

@elcore my arch linux looks the same. I tweaked gnome 2 months ago randomly and installed extensions and now it looks like that apricity os.(except the desktop background) 😁😁

It's nice and polished ... Highly recommend it to new users over Ubuntu with all the advantages of it. As you use it, you will see it is so tightly designed that customization is limited and often, there is a lot of package patching which can cause erratic behaviors. Other than that, really good for people who want to get straight to work without too much fuss.
