@Treveloper Same. I prefer instrumental while coding tho, cause lyrics can distract sometimes.
Atm, Buckethead is what I listen to the most while coding -
10xEngie7598yI like to listen to instrumental music, jazz, classical, rock, post-rock etc.
For me, it's important that it contains no lyrics, so I won't get distracted. -
Progressive rock, psychedelic and classic rock and sometimes folk and celtic music like those fiddles and amazing instruments and most importantly blues and jazz when things go intense.
-
Etrunon5588yI am too on the instrumental side...
Even if when things get hard I switch it off... Being a drummer make me so susceptible to rhythms... 😅😁 -
@Etrunon you're a drummer?? Cool. Yeah drummers do have soft spot when it comes to rhythms. Specially if you are inspired by John Bonham. He is amazing. Rhythm and aggressive drums wow.

Etrunon5588y@theothergod eheh thanks!
I am still learning, but I can't stop myself playing with... Ehm... Actually anything on sight sometimes xD
I think that they hate me at the library 🤣
I will surely check it out, thanks! 😁 -
marjan8918yAnything at this point really. Even some genres i thought i'd never listen to. Got bored of everything i guess.
-
Instrumentals and soundtracks as I often stop paying attention to the code and start singing if there are any lyrics.
Current favorite: Death Note OST. -
arekxv10548yUhh... I listened to a lot of House lately, but that became to repetitive, now mostly what happens to be on Youtube at the moment. Lately a lot of Movie Soundtracks and Undertale music... a lot of Undertale music.
Other than that mostly upbeat kind of music. Specific bands and/or performers? Let me see... Disturbed, Linkin Park, Hammerfall, Sia, Avici, The 69 Eyes, Imagine Dragons, 3 Doors Down, A Perfect Circle, Poets of the Fall, Godsmack, Dragonforce, Fort Minor, T.I., Soilwork, Crush 40, Sum 41, Prodigy, Flobots... yeah mishmash of genres... and those are the ones I currently can remember listening to. 😊 -
mephist0828y@transpalette man, you know what you're talking about. I usually go with some rock music but when I'm coding it's gotta be M.O.O.N.
-
Andlat148yMath/post/instrumental/alternative/classic rock, doom/black metal and sometimes some electronic/chillstep. Depends of which band I'm into at the time.
-
Progressive metal and technical instrumentals. Techy music for a techy coder.
-
Etrunon5588yWow, anyway I would have expected thatpst of us listen to electronic music and so on...
So far most of the reply state that listen to pop / rock / metal
!!
Great! 😀 -
@mephist0 yeah this shit sends me right in the 5th dimension where you can see the source code of life itself! :D
