    Well on Ubuntu I just installed the Nvidia original ones since nouveau caused random crashes + wouldn't even start mostly... Same for gentoo as for nouveau so I wouldn't go for that anymore

    Nvidia drivers frequently crash games, libreoffice and network card drivers.

    @martikyan You know the open source drivers effectively stopped developing after the GTX 700 series, right? Nvidia effectively blocked the card's dedicated BIOS so the open source nouveau driver will only work very slowly - or not at all.

    @Puroguramingu The hardware would be fine, but the driver is so bad I'd expect fewer crashes from a computer built entirely of Chinese clones.
