Let's not forget that "retweets" would just lead to infinite content recycling, which already is a problem.

Well, if reposting was a thing here, I'd probably see a lot of unfunny stuff and dead content flying in feed. Obviously, nobody needs that to happen to another good network. 🤨

That's not really compatible with the upvote system tho. If you want to show support and get a rant/story to be more visible, then upvoting it would be the way to go.
