    Why did you get fired?
  • 2
    Shit, man.

@alexbrooklyn technically company decided to end contract until end of June after 4 years. They want to move development in-house.
    Wish them luck.

    WT...

    Ouch, hang in there.

Looks like being loyal doesn’t pay up so fuck all IT business. They can die in hell.
  • 3
Hang in there mate, something good will come up on your way
  • 4
@vane Now that makes me feel less guilty about screwing over my current company. Those greedy fucks care about no one.
  • 14
@RikaroDev I can probably sell my soul to bank anytime just irritated by this fucking insane move.

They don’t even have developer right now to handle 4 years of R&D and business knowledge cause I was making this application by myself.

I want to see their faces when I stop answering any calls or messages at 1st July and if they insist count them every minute x100 rate or tell them to fuck off cause I have other job right now.

that fucking sucks man. fucking bastards
  • 1
@vane are you on a nda or ncc? are they solid? can you take the app and publish and monetize on your own?
  • 2
@vane oOoo please do that and make a rant about it
  • 4
@molaram I’m so nda I can’t even shit myself without them asking. It’s corporate.
But I could write this app in other language and without 4 years of R&D overhead 😂, anyway it needs sales team cause it’s kind of niche.
  • 5
@vane naw mate. copy the shit, rebrand, change all UIs, add a couple neat features, put together some nice bullshit literature about other awesome but non-existing features (you can add them later), pick up an alter ego and set up a company in some island then start making calls. You don't need to make as much as they do so no need for a sales team, just a couple clients may do. Its good that its niche, means easier to close sales and less competition.
  • 1
@molaram yeah maybe that’s the long term answer. Good idea to at least make market research because some of core features might be not existent and make simple app that makes one thing and start selling while working in other job.
  • 1
@molaram that’s fucking great idea dude and I at the same time you gave it to me I watch silicon valley season 2 episode 2 where gavin belson sued pied piper for stealing intellectual property fuck no kidding
  • 3
    @vane
By becoming independent as of the idea of @molaram :
You might wanna apply for Estonian digital citizenship programme. Where it dedicatedly supports dev works with a framework, platform and legal stuff like contracts.
Or was it Latvia / Lithuania?
Anyways. One of these digital governments is world leading.
If you publish segments, this might not even trigger a law suite.

You don’t need to go that far. Just be careful how you move your money, that is the only way you can get caught.

You pay about 75% of your earnings in tax for so long and now you get dumped? On a long enough timeline without any prospects for basic necessities, proper healthcare not to mention all else? Fuck them all. Do your thing. You deserve it.

    @vane
Loyalty died years ago. Anyone loyal to an employer is a fool.
  • 2
@SortOfTested well I am fool then cause I have rules. They might be stupid but no rules makes you no different to any animal around.
  • 2
There can be loyalty if we want to. But that's another story.

I get a feeling he is not doing it not because he's loyal or because of rules...but because he's afraid.
  • 5
    @vane
You're playing by different rules than everything else. Governments allow companies to make you a perm contractor, dump you at a moment's notice, reduce your benefits and dock your pay. Even in the best countries, there's some version of this. HR exists to treat you as a threat.

Sucks, but that's the way everything is now. You get a contract, you get yours, they get products and that's all it will ever be.
  • 1
@SortOfTested yeah I’m playing my own rules. I do one shit at a time until customer and their clients got out of new ideas, lasted for 4 years this time.

I saw you suffering and literally ran out to commiserate with you Vane.

@catholic-emacs I think I’ll be fine like Charlie Harper says something will eventually come up
  • 1
@pythonInRelay i was really hoping i didn't waste all that time just for people to miss the joke.

    Still something u missed tho.
  • 3
@Wisecrack you're using old ass adblock which is a now owned by advertisers instead of adnauseum. You're not actually black like your avatar *reaches for pitchfork*

Can't notice anything else. Quality is too compressed and photo is too dark.
  • 1
@pythonInRelay lots of black family members.

I just have really light hands.

Surprised no one caught the exif on the original.
