Good luck, and always validate your HTML. That alone would already put you ahead of the pack, that's how low the bar is.

And remember to test on Firefox too, there's life beyond blink and webkit -
I offer my condolences.
Know that there is still a way out if you want salvation, the switch to backend developer is not that scary. -
@josemfcheo Here some links that even many seasoned frontend devs don't seem to know. Fix issues these tools point out, and your stuff will not only be fast, but even accessible (so that your employer won't get sued like Domino's last year):
https://validator.w3.org/
https://wave.webaim.org/
https://gtmetrix.com/
And really useful for cross-browser stuff so that you know what browser supports what features with what restrictions:

The one tip I have to offer would be to focus on safe, well-performing JavaScript.
Don't get too swept up in all kinds of hyped up libraries and alpha frameworks... Stick to mastering common ES6 patterns and the framework your employer is using right now.
Although I'd make an exception for Typescript, as it's moving quickly from a hipster JavaScript alternative to a mainstream JS replacement. -
good luck man. being a front end dev is hard but don’t worry, you’ll make it in no time!!.FRONT END FOR LIFE
