I am getting tired of people bragging about being pissed off by their families and wanted escape to work office. Is family really worst than some random crowd at your company?

Not everyone's situation is the same and in some cases, yes it is indeed better. Just bc your situation with family is ok doesn't discredit the shit show others are having to deal with.

I'm not complaining about my fam, no sir! But I do know that sometimes one might need a day off from one's family :) and there's nothing wrong with that..

Nothing is wrong with the craving the taste of the carton/paper in the morning coffee.
Also TV noise sucks.

On the other hand... Do you ever consider that your fam might be tired of having YOU at home all the time? :)

@Stuxnet family relations is not something that was given to us and is constant, we are working on it every single day. It requires lots of effort and frequent retrospective to keep everyone (more or less) happy. It is up to us if we are willing to make this effort or avoid it hidden in the office.

@netikras sure there is nothing wrong in takeing day (or two) off ;)

I'd rather drown in well written code for 12 hours a day than spend an hour with family.
Some people may have contributed to your gene pool but are not worth the time, if they have no respect for what you do.

I ran away from mine about half the fucking planet away. So yeah, sometimes they can drive you just insane enough.

@rutee07 you are 100% right that it is not one person effort to keep everyone happy. I'm just saying that one should try initiate the work to change bad relations/habits and lead the team == family. Not every project is a success...

On the other hand... I miss my family who is 7000 km away.
