Hasn't happened with ; but it has happened with other characters. It even goes so far that I ask a colleague and sometimes he can't find it too.

Favourite language must be Java or C# as those are the languages I have used the most.

The IDE you are using has to be really dumb to be unable to locate a missing semicolon in your code.
