    @Stuxnet
    Obviously OP doesn't, or we wouldn't be passing around the boot for his welfare 😮

    @M1sf3t
    I blame chemtrails. And 5g. And the pumpkin spice.

    @M1sf3t
    Bath salts *are* a deep state conspiracy created to distract us from the opioid epidemic. I was talking to some friends on /r/flatearth the other day and they had seen evidence that Hillary Clinton's emails were coded messages to aliens that were farming Haley's comet for alien mind control dust used in the salts. You can't see the comet because it's on the bottom of the earth right now, but it's also why the messicans are sneaking over the border to steal our fruits and first born children, their chalupacabra masters require sustenance. 😮

    @SortOfTested that moment you can see how that's believable!

    Mind blown!🤯
  • 3
    Why collecting it in first place?
  • 1
    @Stuxnet Sharp guy, but he really should tune down his speed. Listening to him is as tiring as counting individual shots of an MG salvo.

    @rutee07 Could also be an Asian guy. ^^
  • 1
    @halfflat and you cant be sure that an german postcode is greater 0 (00000 is the postcode for the gutsbezirk Reinhardswald which was forgotten in the change to the 5 digit postcode)
  • 1
    @Fast-Nop his voice is annoying as fuck, but he is indeed a smart dude with even better debate skills.
  • 4
    @Stuxnet Though of course his skills are a bit overrated because his opponents don't actually debate at all. The left just points and shrieks because they have never learnt to debate after they forced US unis in line. They even call Shapiro a nazi. Yeah sure, makes sense.
  • 1
    @M1sf3t and if you care you need a xan to ease the annoying anger
  • 2
    @M1sf3t I avoid the US. Don't want to have discussions with stupid and paranoid border staff why I don't have Facebook and shit - after having been waiting for hours in the queue.

    Luckily, my peer-dev is just as averse to India (which I don't mind) as I'm to the US so that we have a mutual agreement who goes where.
  • 1
    @M1sf3t And on the US domestic flight leg, there's also the elevated risk of having a disgusting landwhale as seat neighbour jellying over into my seat, and as result of the "fat acceptance" shit, that he'll even be an entitled asshole about that.
  • 0
    @M1sf3t Muhaha - of all demographics, the "big mama" folks. OK, at least they won't fly because they can't even leave the house unless someone uses an air hammer on the door frame. ^^
  • 1
    @rutee07 I'd rather slam my dick in a car door than sticking it into a so-called "real woman".
  • 0
    @rutee07 depends on length of the dick or depth of the... We are off topic now.

    @rutee07 damn it your second comment is same in meaning as my first answer. Dirty mjnds think alike.

    What kind of product do you have where knowing the contents of my underpants is important anyway?
  • 1
    @M1sf3t

    If information is the product, wouldn't extra information about a person's sex & gender identity, even if the purpose in ethically questionable, be of value?

    I mean, if someone identifies as a pansexual non-binary draconid furry, that is amazing data for advertising purposes (disregarding privacy law violations).

    I don't see the advantage or purpose of storing gender as binary data type -- either you don't want/need to know it at all, or you want to know it with as much detail as possible.
  • 4
    @M1sf3t As a DBA/data engineer myself, I tend to refuse any data into my databases unless it has a clear purpose.

    If the purpose is english social honorific titles in communication, such as "Mr" vs "Ms", I'd argue that it should not be a dropdown, instead be a free text field called "Desired honorific" or "Title" -- if a user wants to put "Smelly Dickwad" in there, that's their own choice. Maybe I'd fix the length to 5-6 characters in validation, to keep things a bit more sane.

    Even if the database is for advertising about a sex toy webshop, I still wouldn't actually care about the customer's gender.

    I'd just take note of the amount of dildos vs plastic vaginas sold to the user -- their preference for a toy category is more important than how they're using the toys. If a transsexual without a penis likes to insert their feet into fleshlights while vigorously fingering themselves, who am I to not advertise the newest pocket pussy to them?

    The only thing that could be marketed specifically at "non binaries" are psychotropic drugs, and that fails because these are on prescription only.
  • 1
    @M1sf3t It's because they havn't achieved anything, which is because they are too lazy to put up hard work, so they started making up shit genders to justify feeling like little special snowflakes when they're actually just annoying pieces of shit who are covering up their failed life choices with drivel on Twitter.

    @rutee07

    I hate that the discussion about obesity is now about "body shaming".

    It's such a fucking strawman argument.

    Obviously it's rude to bully fat people. And if you're fat and want to post bikini pictures on Instagram, no problem.

    But it's not "brave". It's also not normal to be proud of a health problem. Calling people haters because they find slim, athletic people more attractive than you? Fuck off, hit the gym if you want more people to find your body attractive.

    I mean, I'm slightly overweight and not super fit — I'm neither ashamed nor proud of it. It's not SO much of an issue that is a number one priority to work on it, but normalizing it, claiming that it's not a health problem, that's absurd.

    It's such a statement of oversensitivity to conclude that there's no room for nuance between shame and pride.

    @bittersweet
    What gets me is the contradictory nature of it. They will simultaneously say it's a health problem AND brave. 🤔

    Meanwhile I'm sitting here freezing my ass off because some lardass controls the thermo AND paying more in medical insurance because he's at the doctor every other day.

    Not that I support health insurance as a reasonable thing, just my experience on how irresponsibility shits on society. I'm just as much opposed to people exploding pandemics because they just had to go to Sunday fantasy book club.

    @halfflat of course not all post codes are five digits. Im not americain to start off with

    @bittersweet That would be a scaly, not a furry. 💁🏻‍♀️🌠

    @M1sf3t
    This thread is basically a shitshow, so why not?

    @SortOfTested pure unadultered nonsense from an obvious commie! smh rn. this is "beyond the pale."
    Everyone knows the earth isnt flat. Its shaped like an avocado!

    @halfflat 7 billion people, most of whom are one or the other.
    Just add a slider. Thlse who dont have traits of eithrr, and best identity as vegetables or fruits can just set the slider in the middle to 0.

    @Fast-Nop I thought it was hilarious considering Ben's heritage.

    I bet he was over the moon when they did that. You know you've won when the other side resorts to nane calling.
  • 0
    @bittersweet highly relevant to advertisers.
  • 1
    @Root ahhh I still remember with fondness the old days of shitposting and furries

    "yiff in hell!" echoes on down through the ages in the annals of furry legends.
  • 1
    @bittersweet The fact that you think someone's gender is not usually important is quite surprising.

    Clothing, athletics, marketing, toys, psych/sociology research, medicine, statistics, equity campaigns, all of these are gendered and if OP's app touches any of these (very broad) spaces then there is a valid reason to know what is "in the pants" of a given participant modeled in OP's app.
