    The device runs Linux. If you do not want to get the source by mail, you can get it from here:

    How is that surprising though?

    @Maer still kinda weird that they would write it on paper, it sorta amuses me

    that's from a router - not THAT unexpected.

    I had a bunch (not ONE -- a BUNCH) of similar notes like that when I bought my oven-microwave. It's been ~3 years and I'm still wondering how come...

    @netikras it’s... a Bluetooth receiver.

    A small dongle.

    IT RUNS FUCKING LINUX.

    @OmerFlame Well SIM cards run Java. It's not that surprising.

    We are the Linux

    @OmerFlame binaries in modern distros still say to snail mail them and they'll send back a copy of the GPL, or "email OR mail to" in some cases.

    This isn't terribly surprising, and is a nice touch, since it was, y'know, ACTUALLY INCLUDED.

    @OmerFlame That's literally part of the license's terms. They're actually doing the right thing here, astonishingly.

    @junon I’ll request the source via snail mail, I wanna see it come from aaaaall the way from the HQ to Israel lmao

    @OmerFlame Do it and update us, I'd love to see it. You'd be probably one of the last people to ever do it as the GPL is slowly dying.

    @junon is it?!

    @OmerFlame Yes. Most of OSS is using other libre licenses. GPL still has a large market share but low share of new projects using it, indicating its adoption is lessening
