    This awesome post motivated me to create an account rather than just read from the bushes lol! I used to use that pile of dogshit (actually that’s an insult to dogshit) and spent hours googling for obscure error messages and not getting a single simple thing done! It’s like you need a fucking phd in visual studio to create hello world!

    i never understood people shitting on VS.

    never had any of the issues they complain about.

    also, debugging goes into files that contain code that's running, not files that you've used recently. or am i missing something?

    @Midnight-shcode blackboxing is a very recent feature in Visual Studio, our dear ranter may not have heard about it.

    For whatever reason recent versions of vs run like shit, specially when debugging razor projects.

    more likely it's your internet since the default installer is the 5meg thingy that downloads the rest 4 to 15gigs (depending on features you selected) at the same time as it's doing the install.

    but, more importantly,wtf?

    CompSci student/baby programmer here--just found this site and rant after frustratedly googling "what the fuck is a solution in Visual Studio" because apparently nesting isn't a thing we can have? The fuck?
