    Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but… yes (given that you have other fingers). On the bright side, you can, well, use other fingers as well!

    Learning to touch type will speed your typing up by at least 3x. It's worth it.

    @spongessuck I tried one of the touch type games on the Internet... Hard. Brain hurts. Not gonna give up just yet though.

    @gloslistan try switching to Dvorak and you will know what a brain bsod looks like... Almost two months in and it still feels a little weird 😂

    The whole point learning to type is to avoid your brain to hurt : it's all about muscle-memory learning... with habits and training, you will be typing without event thinking about it.

    ... then you will switch to vim ;)

    If you start by adding just more one finger in each hand, it can become not that dificult.. Personally, i think i use all my fingers, but i had piano classes when i was little.. so..

    I type with my index fingers as well. It's the way I thought myself to type and I've no need to type with all fingers. I also type (last time I checked) 86 words per minutes with 2 fingers :)

    @smithalan2 imagine your score if you used all of them ;)

    Learning to type fast and blindly is, for me, one of the greatest non-tech skill for a dev.
