wicho25608yI left Ubuntu when it started with the Unity DE...
I use Elementary Os but you can use Xubuntu, Linux Mint XFCE or Cinnamon versions... -
wicho25608y@Haxk20 Antergos is a really good distro. I respect Arch..., But I rather worry about getting things done instead of keep fine tuning my distro. Being rolling and its package manager is awesome for Arch!

lotd77758yWant to be able to Google everything?
Ubuntu and derivatives.
- maybe elementary OS?
Mostly also applies to Debian tho.
Want to have a control panel for the system?
OpenSuSE or Mageia.
A lot of the cool kids use Arch..
Maybe cinnarch.. I mean Antergos?
Manjaro is also an option.
Though I wouldn't recommend Arch to a beginner..
Me personally?
I'm pretty ol' fashion here and actually uses Slackware.
Sometimes Gentoo, but only on fast machines.. Because, my patience ain't that great.
When you have gotten your initial taste of Linux, then it's time to evaluate what you value most (stability,
software policy[conservative, bleeding, rolling, mixed] ,
Philosophy,
control and so on) having a clear set of values will help picking a distro to stick with for a long term..
Instead of eventually just hopping around like a rabbit from hole to hole. -
marvvvv218yI have tested hundrets of distros and I think Deepin is the simplest one. Its based on Ubuntu ;)
