Am I the only one that tries to make a program... but has an error for like 5 hours... and then realizes how to solve it while taking a showe?

Nope, if I had a waterproof laptop I'd be so productive in there.

I solve many of the hardest issues I've met in my work in my dreams and forced myself to wake up just to jot Something down!

No. I often find solutions while taking a bath.

With nothing to steal your attention the mind can focus on the problem.

@legio314 Ditto! A pad and pen next to the bed is essential!

I've even screamed "That's it" and point to a random woman while walking around campus, after 2+ hrs of not solving a bug

This is due to the fact that when you stop focussing on the problem by doing something totally different your brain will go into diffuse mode in which it will form new neural network connections. The moment these connections are being formed strong enough you will get that 'aha I just found the solution!' moment. So next time, when stuck, don't waste too much time and take a break sooner to give your brain the chance to form these new connections and find the solution.

Devrant's podcast 0 (which I listened to today, and loved) explains this for a small amount of time...has to do with the reasoning behind duck debugging.
