Who doesn't already deleted a DB from production server because tought that is deleting it from localhost's Phpmyadmin? Yeah, shit happens...

It seems less shitty when you have a backup of it from last 9mins, but sucks as well...

    I deleted the production database more then 2 times thinking that it's the development database because some asshole developer didn't migrate the database to the production when the website went live.

    A collegue was using some wrapper around one existing database for a test. When done he uninstalled the wrapper. The uninstall process wiped the database!!

    The first thing i did when we started working with our current database was writing a script that exports the whole damn thing into a massive csv before every change. I dont care how obsolote it is, im not losing a 10+gig database because of stupid people

    that is why you create a different login to use that doesn't have that permission. if you ever do need to... then use an account that has the permission. simple solution
