I'd like one that makes it not annoying to work with. Typescript was kinda going there but after working with nodejs for a while, it blows my mind that even importing libraries can be a bitch.

For web stuff, no frameworks or libraries are needed. Plain Javascript works just fine.

Defo don’t make a package for others, make a package that you need yourself and can actively contribute to because maintenance lasts longer than development.
