'rona virus working from home thug life.

MS Teams, several people including my PM, my company's sales lead, and the top brass from the client.

Sharing my center monitor with some technical documents etc.

A wild messenger message appears from my wife with the contents, "I'm gonna come home for lunch and fuck you sideways."

I'd put the amount of time it took me to mouse up there and flick that thing off the screen at about 900 miliseconds.

How fucked (in addition to sideways) am I?

Tl;dr ~ Fucked my wife. Fucked my life.

    I should add in the follow up call with my PM he didn't mention it... and we're close enough where he would have mentioned it and gave me massive shit.

    So in the game of Russian Roulette that will now be my email inbox for the rest of the afternoon we can rule out my PM.

    I use another machine dedicated to work and work calls and stuff. Perhaps you'd want to invest in something like that? It also helps focus.

    @RememberMe Yeah, the obvi thing would be to not link messenger to my work machine.

    Or to turn off notifications...

    But I think I'm just going to only share my left monitor from now on.

    Because I mean... I NEED these text notifications in real time. For reasons.

    I have my notifications set up so that they don't show when I'm screen sharing. Or you could share an application window and not the entire screen.

    Honestly if I'd get such a notification while screen sharing my colleagues would just go like "gonna have some fun in a bit huh 😉😉😏"

    Sadly I do not get these texts.

    I keep telling myself that I need to put my notifications in do not disturb mode specifically for this reason, but I always forget to do it. One day, I will probably be caught in some weird situation too. I'm sure that everyone will have these stories about their coworkers to share since we're all in the same situation right now.

    I record all my teams talk screens to remember linux commands I used and what not. When I use keyboard shortcut to reduce volume, it shows last played video/music as thumbnail in a popup window(windows 10 thing). I was watching wojak style belle delphine thumbnailed video, with exaggerated sexual face before talk... I realized after watching my old records.

    I think you got away with it, 900 ms is pretty good timing. Especially nowadays when people minimize the teams screen or watch their phone when someone else is presenting.

    What does "fuck you sideways" even mean? How is it different from ther ways of fucking? Never understood the term..

    Put hard core porn on one monitor while screen sharing on another, all while pressing and unpressing mute between bong riffs.
