    And you can't just move your finger a nano meter to the left? Shouldn't have to remind you think it was exactly this type of blog that got it placed there in the first place. There's 20 thousand plus users here, us two are nothing special

    @ScribeOfGoD not everyone has iPhone 7plus... I have small screen... And usually problems occurs when using gloves (this special gloves mode which makes screen less precise)

    @alkuzad I definitely don't have a 7plus, fuck apple lmfao

    Why did I even bother with this rant. I should start a daycare with all the children I find on devRant -_-

    I don't like the red button placement either. But i also suck at ui so... meh

    what @dfox could do is hide the button whilst scrolling down (i.e dy < 0) and show it only on scroll up

    Stop being so dramatic. The buttons are in exactly the same place they were in previous versions of the app, they just look different.

    And that's not to say we're not open to constructive criticism or modifying the UI, which we frequently do. But no need to misrepresent it as something that was recently added or has changed with the sabotaging intent of "making devRant less useful." That's ridiculous.

    @dfox thanks for responding, I really appreciate that. You are right - button have same size but it's not in same place as you moved top navigation into bottom. This makes button pushed up for bar size. I do not have any science background for this but I noticed that when I'm using Firefox, Gmail or Facebook I naturally use most of screen to scroll fast. According to another studies almost half users use apps with only thumb and as you can see on figure 2 (http://uxmatters.com/mt/archives/...) you took almost half of operating space with buttons that are used few times a week. Am I part of some a/b group and only I have this bottom bar?

    @alkuzad "you took almost half of the operating space with buttons that are used a few times a week." - which buttons are you referring to?

    The main "add rant" button might have moved a tiny bit but it's still in the same trajectory it was before and your complaint is the first complaint we've received about it having any interference with scrolling. The tab bar only pushed it up a bit because it used to have more padding under it.

    We aren't running any a/b tests with any of the buttons right now.

    @ScribeOfGoD left? I operate only in right bottom corner, using left side is useful only when you use two hands.

    @dfox both modes switches and add button combined. I do not think I'm so special, just I really like using only thumb when walking or just chillin in bed before going to work. right now I'm in bus and I use two handed style so I can easily scroll with left hand that is in upper part of screen.

    For you it might be tiny bit but it really makes difference.

    As per xenie comment - most users usually only lurk and this is also my ratio - proportion of rants I've read to one's I've created is very high.

    @alkuzad I'm sorry but I really don't understand what you're saying/what the issue is. I've always scrolled and used the app entirely with one hand and never had any issues before and don't have any issues now and no one I know of has/had any either. Moving the position of the button at this point will likely just upset more people. We may make it smaller, but it will still be in the same area, like it has always been.

    @dfox oh yes, making smaller actually would help as it would minimize impact of bottom menu. Please consider this. I've seen you make a lot of changes lately (changing burger menu to top menu, then to bottom with burger menu back :D) so it would indeed make more people upset to change it once again. But changing size is not a big deal.
