anon8114868yEveryday just feels like my head is about to explode, and I feel even dumber at the end of the day.
-
I know the feeling, perhaps more than my fair share but find something that you love and use that to motivate you.
We aren't councilors but we are here if you need us. -
anon8114868yI'm pretty new to the business, and maybe I should have payed more attention during all those universitylectures I guess.
-
anon8114868y@bioDan I'm actually not so sure about that I have that passion anymore. I thought I did, back when I started. Now I just feel physically sick when I see code.
-
bioDan56228y@anon81 then do design or animation or some other related skill. There is a lot you can do with the knowledge you've aquired without dealing with code 24/7
-
anon8114868yI thought about doing a MBA degree and looking into the financial side of the software business instead. I guess that might work (but it also cost a shitload of money)
-
dude just chill and take a break for a week or two, you'll be begging to get back and code

That means you understand your shortcomings - that's more than a lot of people do.
If you like programming, than carry on because with every new piece of information you acquire you get a better view at the larger picture and it gets easier. The feeling will never really go away, but if you can keep your motivation it can be used as fuel for learning and doing stuff.
One good way to get past the anxiety is to talk to people that you can learn from. I had my share of junior developers experiencing exactly what you said and they turned out to be wonderful colleagues after a couple of months of learning together.
And as others have said here - we're around if you need us :-)
Cheers! -
anon8114868y@SnafuAI well, that is the thing. I don't like programming, and I really suck at it. I became an engineer to design software, not to write it. A civil engineer doesn't build houses either?!
This profession seriously makes me depressed.
