I think I just had a lucid dream... my first.

I thought I snapped my glasses in 2 because I forgot it was on my bed and somehow crushed the nose piece while getting off the bed.

So I'm going crazy looking for my backup and thinking how much it would cost to replace it since i don't have vision insurance this year...

Even thought about using tape to put the 2ends back together....

Just woke up and realized it was a dream. My glasses r fine.

Wonder if this is a warning though... Maybe I'll be more careful because of it...

Isn't a lucid dream one where you know you're dreaming and can control what's going on?

@AlmondSauce that's correct. Also, according to studies, lucid dreamers can't kill themselves in their dream. Their brain sort of takes over for a second to get them out of doing that. Fascinating stuff!

@AlmondSauce oh hm.... Guess this isn't lucid then....

    just a very realistic dream?

@MrCSharp I have had 5 lucid dreams (that I know of).

4th one (16-June-2020) was beautiful and haunting. I could control it for a good while. Then I got scared, because I didn’t know how to get out of it. Thought of killing myself but it was so fucking real that I couldn’t muster up the courage, even though I knew it was a dream. (Brain is a complex piece of shit.)

Then, I woke up. And I was still fucking scared. I remembered everything. I still do. It was just soo fucking real that it scared the soul out of me for a while. I was done with these dreams after that. I hoped to never have it again. But it was so beautiful (in a way that it was surreal) that I kind of want to have one again.

    I am ready!

@Cyanide what do you mean by control though?

Mines it felt like I was in first person but then the searching diff I decide that or was it just the obvious next step?

@donuts Control means I was aware and could drive the dream myself.

@Cyanide so when you were there, you first had a thought, "I know I'm dreaming"?

    @donuts Pretty much.

@Cyanide I absolutely love it when a dream leaves me in a weird emotional state for the rest of the day.. I've had a few like that (not lucid) and some were super creepy.

Maybe this is the dream and your glasses are broken in real life
