    Explains why UEFI is ****

I'm not even sure what UEFI is, but since it's there it's a pain in the ass to dual boot. Having no care about how people want to use their computer show how Microsoft don't give a fuck.

UEFI was developed by Intel to replace BIOS, and stands for Unified Extensible Firmware Interface. It is a standard that is supported by 12 major tech companies, including Intel, IBM, MS, Apple, and AMD. It's not an MS product. UEFI is what makes it possible to boot from a USB flash drive. Start your research at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/.... Most other distros will have help for dual bootingunder UEFI as well. Hope that helps get you started.

Oh yeah, back up, back up, back up, and read all the docs thoroughly.

I really hate Secure Boot. I'm sure there's some way to change the keys so you can make use of it or something, but as-is, disabling it is a somewhat annoying step in Linux installation.

That's OK, Microsoft gave Apple a lump sum of money to stay in business, so there's that 😃

This was in 2013. Review of a Windows laptop from a well known site. Hope you can relate it to something.
