I just can't take a developer who has never heard of Git seriously

    Seriously, being a dev is more than being able to code. One must be able to document, use stuff like git, testing tools, etc...

    Honestly you don't even need to be a dev to find Git useful. Just push, pull merge your entire life onto the repo

    I wouldn't say I prefer TFS but I do like the focus on ALM and continuous integration features it offers as well as source control.
