Can you ask them to pollute some other spectrum or band so the 2.4 ghz spectrum gets freed up somewhat

@thebiochemic Well Yes, they have multiple networks (they appear to be using those retarded mesh networks) using channel 1 (which seems to be for communication to the clients themselves) and channel 6 (for inter-AP communication, I can measure about 4 APs).

But due to the way wifi works, every client and AP compete for airtime.

So due to the sheer amount of devices they have hooked up, they pretty much completely pollute channels 1 (due to the amount of IoT devices) and 6 (due to the amount of APs).

So that basically means only channel 6 and channel 11 are really usable (unless you want to use overlapping channels, in which case, have fun with your SnR plummeting).

This pushed basically every other AP to these channels so now those are having to compete over airtime on those channels.

I personally use channel 13 here with a very small channel width to prevent fucking my SnR (at the cost of max bandwidth, which is offset by not having to share) but it's still garbage.

@Sony-wf-1000xm3 That's gonna be difficult as most IoT devices only really support 2.4GHz...

It's also kinda difficult to ask them: "hey, go buy new devices that don't use 2.4GHz so we can have actually decent wifi"

it wont exactly help you but you can automate airmon to constantly deauth them from their router to get even.
its trivial if you get kali, just make sure your wifi key is supported. for best effect, buy one that is and run it from a vm (guested wifi usb) so that you can use internet as usual all the while you are nuking their connection.
dont abuse it tho, youre sending signals when injecting packages so you can be detected too if you do it like, constantly.
best do it in bursts with random wait time in between, enough for their connections to give up, but not a constant barrage that could be easily detected, and also obvious
if you do it right they think their equipment is faulty and you keep em guessing :p

now that i think of it you could configure the whole thing to clear one or more channels with some commitment.
their devices should switch channels by themselves bc of "roaming"

did kinda the same for my internet connection, except i cleared a mac adress from anything that would not be me.

you can scan->parse output->input relevant info into airmon
so you could select by whetever you write

@FinlayDaG33k the thing with kali is that you deal with it by shell. so you can really personnalize things around.
where it translates into practice is since all this depends on output redirection and subsequent parsing, you can write in conditionnal clauses like (if mac adress = "x" and channel = "y")

it would deauth them only if they are on your channel. you get your internet they get theirs.
a feature called "roaming" in modern wifi applications switches to the best signal, but it takes into account packet loss. so even with better signal it will switch channels too.
or it could, i think. worked with same id but multiple ap like the offices next door i use for free web.
you could write one that attacks based on channel in addition to targetting by ap/user mac addresses
and packet loss could trigger switching to another channel
or so i think. never tried

@bad-frog We dont know if enough of OP's devices can use caboe yi wareant going cable for his wifi. Also maybe he can tell his neighburs that they have configured their home netwoek improperly and request them to fix it a bit. Though we also dont know if OP has a 5ghz router and his dvices support it

@bad-frog Ah yes, let me just waste resources running a VM on my PC so that I can have a list of around 120 devices to deauth all the time because my neighbours fuck up the spectrum :^)

@Sony-wf-1000xm3 I do use 5GHz when I'm upstairs (where my AP is located) but when I even move outside the room, the signal already becomes really low and when I go to the toilet, it's basically gone.

(house is old and has a higher use of bricks internally than most modern houses, which is why my neighbours have so much APs to begin with).

And I can't really take it to the authorities for that either since they are within the legal EIRP just fine.

I would attempt to "legally" inject enough noise into the channels they're using that none of their devices get a usable snr. Just make sure it's directional to reduce annoyance to other neighbors to the extent possible.

@Alison9 5GHz has severe limitations in range here (brick inner walls)
