I think it depends on where you live and your seniority, if you get health insurance or you don't, if it's for a software factory, a startup or a one-project company, if they pay for your Internet connection at home or not, if there is a BYOD policy or not and stuff like that. Given the latest polls, in my country Argentina if you're salaried you get around 25k US dollars a year as a Senior. Going freelance or as contractor for foreign companies you get much more, but you need to take care of your own taxes and health insurance.
