My boss: now that the other project is stable, you can start working on this new one. It has to be built from scratch in Angular.
Me: is there any particular reason we have to make it in Angular? Last one in React+Redux worked very well and I am getting used to it.
My boss: Just to give it a try.

And Angular steep learning curve is not even the worst part. Lack of design and direction is.

Oooof that seems potentially dumb.

Like trying out Angular that's great, it's a very nice framework. But if a team is good at a framework as it is and the job needs to get done ... do that thing man.

I'm all for learning new things but at some point your leverage the skills of the team...

Granted if you've got a superstar team with lots of time ... then that might be a good call for fun / variety, but most places aren't that.
