So, none other than the father of our beloved Linux kernel - Linus Torvalds, just totally put an antivax guy down in the public kernel mailing list.

I think I love Linus even more now. He may not be a people person, but he sure does know how to totally rip people into shreds lol.

Now imagine how the old Linus would have ranted - the one from before Bill Gates chipped him with 5G.

Absolutely love his response. Telling someone to shut the fuck up *while* educating people.

I love the guy now. I am still afraid of him though

Golden. I just had the same fight with someone literally a week ago

@Fast-Nop the 5G conspiracies appeared to just be china trying to renegotiate on how much of their electronics would be integrated into western telecommunications/spy infrastructure. Worked on a limited basis in the UK where towers were burned, but failed in the US.

Then they tried marrying it to the vaccine-hesistant movement but the anti vax crowd are *mostly* center right (with a smattering of libertarians, left wing pagans or "homeopathic" types, etc) and the right is almost entirely reactionary, meaning the propaganda wasn't going to accomplish anything because the right doesn't care about anyone unless the problem is right in their back yard.

    That's a nice letter

@Wisecrack Yeah, and in this case, China/Gates/Soros/Apple (all the same actually) underestimated Linus. They thought they could tune him down to iSheep level, but didn't consider that he had been even above Arch level badass before - so despite their chipping, he's still Mint level badass. Hehe.

A perfect roast from the man who doesn't intend to allow and spread nonsense.

When did he got his balls back? Where was this Linux against SJWs couple years ago.
  • 1
@aviophile hes currently developing some mega health tracking app (and imho probably recieving some under the table benefit) because state governments are too incompetent.
  • 3
Cool mega pwnd 420 noscope story but it was an easy target. Retard can't even spell. I feel like Torvalds took some bait
  • 0
@aviophile why would he? What are you even referring to?
  • 3
@100110111 they made him sign code of conduct that looks like pledge of loyalty in East Germany.
  • 1
@aviophile I’m not following. Why should he have spoken against SJWs a couple of years back?
  • 1
@aviophile mostly seems to me most sjw groups just identified the people who still care infiltrated by people who like to cause trouble and finally being hollowed out for people who think it’s all a bad joke about to pretend to be ... people

Even though they defeated their own cause by being awful people years ago

Imagine injecting yourself with fucking MAGNETS man.

it kills me inside that so many regards fall for that parlor trick.

    But mind the side effects.

@Wisecrack the side effects are largely inferior to the positive effects as finally I will never drop a mug ever again. As long as it’s metallic. And empty.

Ok, but at LEAST I will not drop pens anymore. Ah right, I… forgot the last time I used a pen for more than a signature.

… screw this, you have a point. You win and I am dumb, okay??

Jokes aside, always wondered if staying in contact with a magnet for too long would create some physical issue, do you happen to have any resource on the topic? I’d love to read some out of curiosity!

@piratefox see the documentary "xmen days of future past" for studies on the effects offucking magnets lol.

Magnetic fingers would be awesome when you drop your keys into the gutter or loose a screw on a carpet or drop it inside the side cover when fixing your motorcycle (or hoverboard, I don't judge). Only if you could turn them on and off at will, though.

@cprn but how will I grab my girlfriend's clit ring from across the room?

    Magnetos powers are highly underappreciated.

ok, let's be short about it and avoid all the technicalities abput who exactly is lying in what and how and why.

let's keep it simple, at the most basic principle:
my body, my choice. and my choice is that 95% ineffective rushed bloodclotting shit can fuck off, thank you very much.

    @Midnight-shcode

    Let me provide a counter-argument.

1 - The vaccine's based on decades of research into both, coronaviruses, and the general mechanisms of our immune system, protein production and and effective payload delivery (The payload in this case being a custom mRNA), if we had no research into coronavirus structures and workings, the vaccine could take years to make.

2 - We live in a society. And as much as we love to reap the benefits of that, I think we also have obligations to fullfill, to our fellow society members.

CoViD-19 wreaked havoc, both financially and mentally, across the whole world. And as it is a disease with a very high infection rate, it is unlikely to go away on its own.

It should therefore be an obligation to get vaccinated, to help stop its spread.

Yes, AZ's vaccine caused clotting issues - In .02% iirc, but then, no medication is 100% risk-free.

Get pfizer then. Had that one. Was just sick for a day or two. No clotting issues there.
