Skype v5 for linux in beta...

@runfrodorun listen (or read😀) I am not mocking linux or anything. I love linux and use it as a daily driver for most of my dev work. Its just that I need services like skype too and that Microsoft is not doing enough in this field bugs me. I would love to see some voip by Linux organizations or from individual devs which reaches similar status as that of skype or face time.

I'd you don't care about Windows or using Skype then why should I care about using linux? If use windows for exactly those reasons, I play games, and use Skype. Why? Because I fuckin can. It seems like all linux users love to do is compile from source and bitch about what windows users do. I guess it's true what they say, Linux people really don't have any life besides work and fixing *another* problem in linux :p

@runfrodorun so the fact that the wifi didn't work on my dev machine using linux but worked straight away with windows is nothing right? Thanks for staying true to the Linux nazi way and try and crucify anyone who dares use something different than you, you've been a doll ;)

It would probably be best if you just don't touch Linux at all.

i'm using windows solely for gaming and linux for all the rest, works like a charm for me. so why all the hate?

@ScribeOfGoD It's very simple, use whatever the fuck you want, easy as that! What I do hate (not a personal attack, just a general annoyance) is that people often don't take others into account who want to keep their privacy. But hey, as I said, use whatever suits you. I personally haven't used windows in like seven years or so but Linux works perfectly fine for me (and next to that, not allowed to use closed source software at work but that works great).

Just felt the need to clarify that there are also not so 'linux is the best and fuck everything else!' peoples. (not saying Nazi because I see that as a very fucking bad swearing word)

@dontbeevil Android isn't the problem (aosp is open source),it's the Google play services which are bad for privacy
