Now "I feel sick today" means "Oh shit does he have covid am I gonna die!" So it at least needs to be accompanied by, "I don't have fucking covid symptoms you MSM watching moron!"

It's kinda a cultural thing, but it doesn't help when people are sometimes burned by arsehole managers doubting whether they actually are. I've met more than one manager who, when faced with that, would say something like "Oh really? Off with a mild cold again are we?" - then said employee feels like they absolutely need to cover all their drugs and symptoms in detail to emphasise the severity of their illness.
Then again, there's some who just do it for the attention, and they're just bloody frustrating. -
irene33913y@hjk101 That doesn’t apply to Canadian English. There is no association between sick and nausea. You get “sick days” to recover from illnesses and they aren’t specifically for vomiting. Sick means temporarily unwell.

If you're sick, just type "I'm feeling sick today"
Don't give a full paragraph of all the drugs you're talking and all your symptoms. That's just cringe.
