Senior Developer vs Intern

Unfortunately I have experienced this in the field.. an 'expert' 'consultant' with 10 years 'experience' who gets the job through nepotism and gladhanding..

Within the first 5 minutes I already estimate he's a complete and ignorant buffoon..
Then he gets his hands on production code.. changes a production item without knowing what he's doing.. lol'ing at it..
And guess what, breaks one of our branches that three devs were working on (including me).

All this unnecessary stress.. why? 'cause they are idiots..
