Linkedin in my home country is a clown fiesta. I swear to god if I see just one more post about "unpaid internships" I'mma shoot the whole block I don't care anymore.

I remember a friend's rant to me. They aren't a dev but got an interview for an internship with a startup in her field. The founder approached them because of their profile. Interviews went well and the founder was impressed. Friend found the work relevant and was eager to join.

Then came the salary talk. Oh boy what a shitshow that was. They offered peanuts but expected overtime and on top of that they told friend that they will pay after the internship ends! Friend ghosted the company and basically told them to fuck off when they called.
I wish I had known before because I had some fun ideas to put their limp dicks in a knot.

we should start contacting these companies with offering ourselves for paid noninternships.
