My mom had forgotten her cellphone with me, and of course it rang. So I answered to be greeted by a "Microsoft" support employee. *thinking, this is gonna be good*

- Bla bla bla there is a virus on your computer which I am calling to assist you in removing.
- Oh? Great! But it's running Ubuntu! (my moms windows drive crashed some weeks ago, so I installed Ubuntu on replacement instead)
- Oh you think you're so smart with Ubuntu and your bullshit! You are lying.
- Oh, yeah I do love lying!
- You are a liar! You should be ashamed of yourself!
I didn't get to give him a piece of my mind before he hung up....

So today I got called a liar by a scammer... Not sure if I should be happy or disappointed in myself 🤔😂

Disappointed.. Definitely disappointed. You should shove him up. Find out from where he called. And trouble him. Send him naked ass.

One told me that I'd won $10,000 but needed to pay $8,000 in shipping and taxes on it. I asked it they could send it via bit coin (to save in shipping and taxes) and got redirected to three different people as they tried to figure out how to deliver physical coins instead. It took them about two hours.

By the end of it, I'd been hit on six times, told a guy about Mars for ten minutes, explained bit coin mining twice, convinced them that webcam video is an acceptable substitute for a TV crew, and had then befriend some stranger's fake name (Jessica Drew of Spiderman) on Facebook. Also, they agreed to plow the snow from my driveway.

Scam artists are great entertainment, but I find them a bit patronizing for my taste.

If I were you I'd play along with him, tell him I'm in front of my laptop and drive him crazy that the link or software he wants me to use isn't appearing on his end so he can gain remote access 😏
