What the absolute fuck were you thinking Microsoft?

You're doing everything you can to ensure that those who continue to use Github are flogged and castrated?

What the fuck happened to the SSH clone link that was so easy to keep in all you had to do was *checks notes* fucking NOTHING.

It makes me question choices I have made over the last two years. Like, why don't I just host my own git server at this point? I have a couple servers running and it would cost me next to nothing.

Before anyone says anything about GitLab , I looked. I would be spending three times what I am now if I used them.

At this point it seems like a futile attempt to stay with you. I'm going to start calling you ShitHub now because it's a place where I can't get shit done without some kind of new shitty "improvement".

2022 is lining up to be a spectacular year!

Fuck you Microsoft.

Didn't they just change the name of the button from "Clone" to "Code"?

It's a dumb change but it's just as easy to get the ssh clone link as it was before, as far as I can tell.

Lack of a clone button would be a stupid reason to change the host, there must be better reasons if you choose to do that.

I am using currently gitea with sqlite as db. Im happy with it.

I don't use my postgresdb, because gitea has problems with the authentication with my setup.

I'm using gitea with Maria, since I already had that running for nextcloud. I love it.

I'm not nuts about it, but it'll serve. I use redis as the backend for things I write myself though.

I expect GitHub to slowly degrade into a pile of unusable garbage. It’s not there yet, but in a few years, it might.

I'm not a frequent user of GitHub as I host my own gitea, as mentioned above, but when I do use GitHub, I'm enraged every time by their breaking of Firefox's slash-to-search.
