Microsoft Teams can burn.

Their latest feature ? Well, turns out that when I get notifications on mobile that I do not get on desktop BECAUSE I AM FUCKING INTERACTING WITH THE CHAT OR CHANNEL THAT SENDS ME MOBILE NOTIFICATION, the notifications do not clear themselves. Oh, no, that would be too smart.

So EACH FUCKING EVENING I sit and browse all the fucking notifications to see if there is anything noteworthy I need to act on, or if it is a dead notification from earlier today.

Dear Lord, Microsoft are fucking experts at TAKE A WORKING FEATURE AND BRAKE IT.

    Removing it from you phone would be a start?

    @koes 🤔 don't tempt me

    I removed it from my phone after a week. If someone really needs me when I am not with my computer they can call.

    The stupidest issue for me is that you can have multiple accounts on mobile, but not on desktop or in browser.
    Annoying as hell when i have one from school, second from work and third from secondary school account that is required for additional classes.

    @impune-pl Qubes to the rescue!

    My fellow students suffer from teams not pushing notifications for homework, essays, etc.

    @koes

    Yeah this.

    To keep your sanity as a developer, keep your phone clean of work stuff.

    Unless you have a DevOps role and need to be "on call", nothing should be disrupting you with short notice.

    Check your laptop/workstation for calendar appointments, chat, mail, etc a maximum of 3 times: At the start, during lunch and near the end of your day.

    @justDeployIt Stop them. Put something on fire if necessary.

    @ReverendLovejoy I hope that I could, it's even worse than that, a lot of tools will be replaced by Microsoft products as part of merging two companies together.

    At least, I'll have now an excuse to miss all urgent messages (notifications) :D

    @bittersweet Teams is also used for general messages, and in these COVID times it is nice to know whether I can or should go to the office before i arrive at my desk.

    You could be using Mac products; they literally made me start to lose my mind. I am sometimes unhappy with Windows. I fucking hate Mac.
