Hmmm.
I also have a small work desk - I solved the problem by using a VESA compatible arm, and hanged my monitors to the wall. They dont take up ant desk space, and you use the soace for an external docking station. Put the laptop vertical perhaps - and you room for a full keyboard/mouse setup. -
@homomorphicanus exchanging "switching windows" for "switching desktops" doesn't really solve the problem.
monitor arms do. -
What @magicMirror said, but you can also mount the arms to the edge of the table if it's suitable.
Getting a 4K monitor or an ultrawide could also be a solution. If you need more stuff on the screen, I would lean towards getting a high resolution screen as the main solution. -
C0D4669023yEither a wall mount or 2, or widescreen since you lack the physical space.
Having a lack of screen space is never solvable with virtual desktops alone.
What happens when you need 6 or more applications open at any one time? Jumping around VDs is a PITA easily solved by more monitor realestate. -
Blernnn2263yI purchased a dual arm mount where I can stack them. I have a 34inch ultra wide on the bottom. And a 27inch up top.
