My bank secure password criteria is:
- Max 5 characters
- All lowercase
- Contain at least 2 numbers
I closed my online banking account. -
wesaka4548yJesus, every fucking bank in my country has online banking passwords containing only numbers. The only thing that changes between them is that one is 8, other 6 or another 4 numbers.
Every. Single. One.
What am I supposed to do? -
wesaka4548y@error503 A new bank showed up in here, the motto of it is that it's like a "smart" bank, all digital, you can do it all from your smartphone, transactions, investments, loans, all that stuff, and guess what: 6. Fucking. Numeric. Digits.
Why is that? I guarantee that they have the money to get some little extra SQL space. -
ChappIO46938y@wesaka generally these digital 'phone banks' are tied to a device. So they would not only need the 6 digits but also your phone.
-
@wesaka Fuck man, that's so stupid and insecure.
I am guessing they have bought a system developed centuries ago that doesn't support anything better.
The legacy code in banking is unbelievable.

Not sure I want to open this account any more.
