epse36627y@Dav13 it is... Kinda doable on my 4G laptop after having moved /tmp from being in-memory to a file

DjSall15837yYour ram is there to be used.
Don't worry, if dou don't want to fire up anything else large.
While editing videos i get up to 7.5 out of 8 and my pc never freezes/slows down. -
arrowsoft987yYea had a 2gb ram laptop , had to give my junior bro because android studio said I can't f**king use it

beriba8567yOn my laptop I can have android studio + emulator + opera (2 windows, 5+ tabs in each window) + vivaldi (also 5+ tabs) + 3 instances of PhpStorm + some other software like Spotify, Slack, Terminator etc. 16GB RAM. Everything goes smooth. only emulator can slow down a little with that much load but I don't work like that. I mean, I can because I checked that but there is no point, obviously.

Strange, I don't even dare to do that. At work iMac I use has 8GB of RAM and when I have emulator running I better not have anything other than Safari and Android Studio running it will go crazy.

zankar20757yIf you add more ram, the system will use it. It will use most of the memory it has so i think adding another 8gb should be pretty good :)

@jschmold No heating problems here at all. I had a choice to buy the 6th Gen too (6700K), but the 4th gen had higher clock and performance. Also, mine isn't even over clocked ;)

I think 8GB is sufficient. Don't need 16.
