I think they should put a hourly limit for downvotes.

See that happened again just now! Score dropped from 4009 to 3985 🙌🏼

I bet @dfox can identify the abuser pretty easily, and maybe even build in some protection algos like on Stack Overflow.

This hasn't been a problem up until now but in the past day there's been two offenders. Excessive targeted/random downvoting will not be allowed and offenders may find all of their votes deleted, or in the worst cases, their entire account deleted.

And yeah, this is extremely easy for us to detect. I can run 1 database query (which I will automate) and see all of the users who have targeted other users with downvotes, or the users who excessively downvote content in general.

And I actually looked at this just yesterday, and there were only a handful of users who downvoted frequently at all, so it's definitely not a widespread problem, but we will put a stop to it quickly :)

I don't think I've ever down voted anyone.

Does Mark Zuckerberg or any other people explain solution to a problem this way and expect users to understand the way it is solved? Just another reason I love this community!
