    Replace lofi with goa, turn the volume up and return to work.

    Alternatively, to voice your disapproval wait until they start hammering by hand and jump up and down. In most modern houses the floors can actually bend up to 5cm in their furthest point from supporting walls without any structural risk, but it's really fucking hard to drive a nail into something that's moving up and down.

    @lbfalvy Depends on the floor.

    In most apartment buildings in Sweden they use concrete floors that do not bend and even in other types the floors are designed to not move like that to protect lamps and other things attached to the roof.

    @Voxera that's interesting, most floors in Hungary are some variation of steel, bricks, wood and sand for insulation and they bend like anything. I guess that has a lot to do with the fact that some of our houses are older than rebar and the rest are mostly built in the socialist spirit of extreme cost saving.

    You had to take that third E tab. C'mon, admit it... yer amongst friends...

    @lbfalvy tried goa a few times before. It just doesn't stick on me...

    Lounge and lofi and whatever worakls and nto, however, feel like my cup of joe

    @netikras in some older houses, there is a wood construction in the ceiling, which can be a very good resonator....

    I know what you mean.

    I still have two 1 cm high rubber mats which I put under the office table / work room... The other one is under the bed.

    Before anyone thinks dirty - I'm a *very* active sleeper when alone. I *move* the bed by 5 - 10 cm at night if there isn't something under the bed to stop movement.... Drilling into the floor isn't the "best" idea in a flat, so the rubber mat to stop movement.

    Without the rubber mats, I'd have gone crazy.

    @lbfalvy or… hear my out… start moaning loudly and scream “yes, oh god keep drilling” until they are too embarrassed to continue

    @piratefox If only anyone could hear those moans through the drilling noise.....
