@bigus-dickus Nope, G-Skill IDontRememberWhat™. Bought 2*4Gb about 5 years ago, and last year they became faulty so I got to use that lifetime warranty. I thought I'd go for 1*8 this time, so there's more room for upgrade

My previous PC ran for weeks with the whole cooling block resting on the graphics card. Random reboots made me investigate, the plastic bracket attached to the motherboard had snapped (AM4 socket). After that I used the PC for two years laying on it's back, with the cooling block just standing loosely on top of the CPU. Worked fine.

@electrineer That's the same as saying "I don't wipe because I'm just going to shit again later." Just clean it mah dude
-
@bittersweet you could have used zip ties. Or probably get a new plastic bracket cheap on ebay.

What are those 2 white cables for that are running from the motherboard to the back of the case? Never seen that before
-
Why is it mounted as top blow?
I mean, I wouldn't have the problems, even without fans in the case due to a highly oversized cooler (like double the size of this one. From mainboard power input to 2-3 cm behind rear i/o), but I always want to have it not top blown...
I bet the rubber mounts aren't designed for mounting a fan to the top... -
@paradonym he also has the rear case fan as intake, so the rear fan will feed the air to the top fan which pushes it straight out
-
@electrineer Man I didn't notice this, I gotta change that someday. It's been ages since I put these fans in the case, maybe 3 or 4 years

retnikt68946yWas about to get all /r/QuitYourBullshit on you but this is an original... Swear I've seen it before

Holy s**t, I was wondering why my fans were noisy and my computer so warm lately. So I checked inside to see this. The CPU fan is fucking resting on the graphics card like Dr House on his stick.
