IT employees legally should take 15min brakes every 2 hours [health breaks, has to do with risk factors of a profession]. Adds up to an hour every day. + an hour for lunch. So every day we legally have 2 hours for ourselves to slack.
I use my health breaks at ~5pm for a power nap -
bols597742yI used mine to engage in industrial theft. Sort of. I used to patronize a Starbucks in the lobby of Key Tower in Seattle. I was having a low point personally. They sold Starbucks magnets. There was a metal placard with the magnets and another magnet telling you what the prices for the magnets were. I fuckin stole the magnet with the prices on it. A proud moment in an otherwise tranquil life.

Hazarth95062yYes, sometimes when I had a really rough sleep and tired. In our company we even had beanbags you could sleep in during work hours if you wanted, it never was a problem. Afaik google also allows their employees to sleep on the job, as well as NASA.
Not all companies may agree, but as far as I'm concerned, this is not only ok but it can help your productivity, nothing is less productive than a tired person staring blindly at a problem... -
@netikras we end up doing these breaks on the clock. the work culture here is very lax, no one is too eager to work 8h straight, it's pretty much a given
