Once had a manager who would say things like "you're odd" and didn't have the decency, and was paid double. Some people just step on others to make themselves look 'taller'. Had to leave that negative space immediately. Got a 40% pay rise at new company. Win!

Product people always have something to say in a meeting 🤦♀️, regardless of beneficial or not. They just need to speak. It's like they have an urge inside to pee, and they have to let it go in a meeting. Always.3

When companies say they migrated to microservices, they actually mean: Monoliths deployed in a microservices architecture6

Company: people are not taking holidays, let's have after work party midweek so they have to take a day off.
Employees: (next day after late night party) I'm calling in sick2 -
If anyone says it will take a day, it actually means a month.
1week means 1month
1month means 3months
3months means 1year (will take some for the BA and Product Manager to realise actual the problem they are trying to solve)
1year means you won't be working on project, they'll outsource it.6 -
So you want full stack engineers to: design, do UX, create front end, build backend and deploy it in your mono repo stupid manual deployment "kubernetes cluster", add monitoring alerting manually, review others PR, QA our own apps and features, manually sync to Production, use VPN otherwise we cannot connect to anything, 2factor auth, do SRE, architecture diagrams, demo, run agile ceremonies, and learn a legacy coding language which was never mentioned in the job description. Did I miss anything?9

Millennials are getting right f*cked.
Low paying jobs,
Many hours of travel to work because one can't afford to live closeby,
working 10 hour a day, and
there is no hope of owning a home.
Then people say 'oh what do you do when you get home?'
Sleeeep for the limited hours left!
Then your partner says 'oh you just come home to sleep'
Then you have instagram and all these 'influencers' saying go after your dreams... while they very well know they only get paid for heavily edited images.
Wish things were better for everyone.27
