Was at a Saturn (tech store) a while ago, just in the area and browsing a bit, and then this: (see image, thanks C0D4)

This sort of shit happens all the time around here.

There was also my local Karlchens Backstube (bakery and café) where the drive-thru display had a green screen of death; I don't know why they used an insider build of windows. Or windows in general for a fucking DISPLAY SIGN. A FUCKING DISPLAY SIGN WITH JUST A STATIC IMAGE DISPLAYED.

    I don't know how you got "Windows" from this:

    - Kernel panic

    jup. You know those new displays in trains? actually a website running on a Debian apparently booting from PXE.
    Had seen one constantly dying and rebooting on my last ride meaning I could watch the start sequence over and over again

    still funny how much sense most of this makes nowadays.
    Getting enough smart rocks to run a full OS is just cheap so why not? Way cheaper than hiring someone to do it sleek

    (still I wouldn't use windows - who does that?)
