I hate backendphobia! It feels like so common nowadays. People scare other people with backend being too hard and stuff, and that feeling of scariness is something that infects lot of people. Please stop fearing the backend!

Yes, some backend stuff can be hard, but there's no good reason to fear it. I just hate it when I go to a new team and they all seem to be backendphobics idiots. I've build enough backends to not give in to the fear, pls stop scaring people.

I have frontend-phobia. Can't wrap my head around how anyone could like frontend.

Most frontends are a clusterfuck of unmaintainable Node -/ Dart whatever JS version clusterfuck.

Backend hate only if its done wrong.

Sentence that pops right in my mind: Wait, why do you want to book so much time for design, this is sooo easy peasy done in seconds.

That. That sentence says all. When a project starts like that, the backend will be the end result of an 48 h all out fetish swinger party, a clusterfuck of too many things you never wanted to know.

Step two: Realize that frontend is not necessary JS.
Step three: You are probably cured.

Major downside of backend development is the lack of appreciation. Recolor a button on the front-end and the client is all smiles.
