Thought this was kind of funny for us lady devs/programmers, and something we can relate to.

The lady in the image is an engineer/programmer and is getting married but doesn't have any girlfriends (since she works in a mostly male oriented field, like us). So instead of having female bridesmaids she had her close brogrammers / college classmates stand up in her wedding with her. I mean, it was probably less drama, anyways! 😂

I'm the only girl on my team so I def relate!

*not my pic*

The friend zone is a terrible place to be.

@aleliszt Oh, hush! They're probably just intimidated by your intellect. It will come in time, don't sweat it. Men are big babies, so enjoy your freedom while you still have it. 😂

@jlave215 lol. I don't think any of them have any romantic interest in one another, she just has guy friends and not girls.

@CodingPrincess As a sapiosexual, I find that mildly offensive :"p

Is it bad that one of the main concerns I have going into this field is that I won't be able to find a girl like me?

@CodingPrincess Babies? Come on not all of us are like that, I think, @aleliszt if you don't have a boyfriend is because they such cowards, or blind, or simply fool guys, just keep calm he will come

This pic makes me uncomfortable. Not because of the guys in pink. That fabric seems to be SO comfortable but because they're shaving their beards. I couldn't do that for the bride

@jlave215 I think most people don't get that the friendzone is just a (bad) way to say "no". If you feel friendzoned, don't blame the other for being friendzoned... it's either self inflicted or the other Person doesn't feel the way you feel, which is totally ok. The best to get out of it is get some distance and don't care about this person any more. This is very important so you can clear your head and be ready if you may see another person you like and maybe you have more luck this time.

Well I'm still in uni for CS but so far I got a female friend who's also in the same course I am 😜 and ironically, though I get along better with guys, most of my friends are girls LoL. It's like a 6:1 (female:male) ratio 😂

I can definitely relate to this; the only two close female friends I have are people I've been friends with since high school. Everyone else I have enough in common with to become close to are males with a tech background. Nothing wrong with that, but if I get married I may need to steal her idea and have my dude friends stand with me lol.

@devchika cool username, and yeah I can imagine ... We are usually less complicated 😝😜

@aleliszt I've know different kinds of devchikas (devgirls) and I don't think it is possible to stereotype a woman, but most of the ones I've know are simpler than most of the women I know and better decision makers, better logical thinking, but they are still women, you know what I mean?

I'm a noob and was worried about getting hired on a team full of sexist bros, but this...this is my desired future.

We have about four girls on the team. Which is amazing.

When I was at university in the cyber security department. In 4 years we had only 5 girls enrolled, some professors said that it was very rare that we had 5 people.
