If you have previous knowledge it will be really fast trip. At least it was for me, I only read whirlwind to python (i think it was called something like that) from the O'Reilly free ebook collection. After that I was learning, still am, on the go as needed.

Honestly the only thing that's difficult about python is when you try to dive deep and mess with something that can't be done well "pythonically". Oh, and remembering not to use brackets 😛

What is your current skill set? If it is nodejs or rails, you should take up clojure or elixir on the side. Very interesting, they are.
