Need an advice..We have to select a department elective this sem..What would you guys recommend...I am inclined towards Python and Linux internals but we have to choose only one. From the Department Elective 1.
I could also opt for something else other than these two.

    I would suggest something language agnostic such as Design Patterns. Would serve you better in longer term IMHO

    @dan-pud I second that.

    Python you can learn by yourself very quick.
    Design Patterns are often simple too, but having someone smashing them into your head (university) is useful too.

    Take ToC. It'll help if you have Compiler Design in upcoming semesters.
