Hello fellow dutchie! I was 16 when I was first allowed to drink (with the old legislation), and turned 18 just as the new legislation was passed haha. Cheers :)
-
As fellow Dutchman I wouldn't recommend going fully drunk and coding. Slightly tipsy works for me 😬
-
karwler7397yOnce I was so drunk I could barely stand up, so I decided to just spend some time in front of my pc and add controller support to one of my programs (cause why not). Somehow the code for it ended up much cleaner than the stuff I usually write ^^

darxor4127yin Slovakia it's 18. not that I drink since I was 15 lol. nothing strange here. oh and happy bday! :)

The fact that Americans can drive being 16 (16?) years old, but can't drink till they're 21 always always makes me wonder who made those decisions.
It's so much worse to fuck up while driving than to drink too much for a night, maybe somebody should take that into account -

Alcohol is harmful for your brain, if you want to be a successful programmer, keep drinking water! -
erik40415837yAh well, @antons Live a life where you count every calorie, drink/eat only healthy and die at 100 years old doing exactly that or just live not bound by rules but by moments and enjoy it all and die at 70 :)
// edit
@Jappe, gefeliciteerd! Ik drink er een op je! -
Coding drunk? 10/10 would recommend, just make sure you're not TOO drunk...
And make sure you don't give a fuck about the code you're working on because coming back to it later will be impossible 😂 -
Gefeliciteerd!
Tip: Skip the Heineken and other piss, and enjoy an IPA (Flying Dutchman), Belgian special (La Chouffe, Duvel), or a German Weizen.
Getting drunk is a productivity killer, but the little buzz from a single glass of beer can certainly help with the creative process and social skills. -
Jijel2157y@antons Let me tell you a story.
Antelopes move at the pace of the slowest one in the herd. When a lion attacks, it targets the slowest antelope. So a lion actually helps the herd move faster and avoid future dangers.
Brain cells work like a herd of antelope, at the pace of the slowest one. Alchool kills the weaker and slowest first. So alchool allows your brain to function faster.
Joke aside, I don't think things work as stated above. If you drink too much too often you're not going to last long. But getting drunk once in a while, or drinking some wine once in a while will actually do you more good. -
Same as the rest of us.. Drunk screaming at the error message gremlins. Those hooligans are at it again, I tell ya!

@stop the netherlands:
18->everything you want
And whem youbare 18 you can start driving cars (on your own) -
Jappe29137y@SSDD there is indeed nothing impressive about it, but I just want to try it and know what the fuzz is about. 😇
-
@antons because of alcohol having a bigger effect on you while still young and growing?
