Wasn't my intent.

If I were the big boss, I'd have disabled the image upload feature a long time ago. It kills 90% of the reposts. But it's OK how it is now, some images are really good to give a rant more details.
To cite dfox: Just flag them as reposts or, if they have no relevance to dev stuff, as spam.

If you comment them, it will increase the visibility which is not what you want.

I flag about 10 posts a day... it's just normal in a big community. 😉

I love that this post is in itself a repost. And the OP's defence "it wasn't my intention".

I would guarantee that 99% of reposts are done without the intention of it being a repost.

I've seen several today that were done within then minutes of the original. Ticks me off.

I looked (briefly) for a post like this before posting. I didn't check all the way to last month or anything.
So.. links or it didn't happen? I guess? It's not really the point..

I think I've only ever seen it the first time, what gets commented as a repost, about 90% of the time.

I don't surf as much as others, it seems, or maybe El Algorithmo has been kind to me.

Or perhaps all the reposting flags do their work before I get to the information superhighway.

Actually, I'm gonna start doing my bit for the remaining 10%, agreeing on the method of flagging it only, to help prevent repost recomments at the same time.
