    @iam13islucky like a shell built on top of the linux kernel to make it seem exactly like windows

    If API's, that's damn near impossible and is what WINE tries to do.
    If the second, there is plenty of distros that try to duplicate Windows 10 or 7 or XP in look and feel, as well as MacOS.

    Linux Mint have in my opinion a strong "Windows-like" appeal, but in the sense of "every work now and out of the box. No complication"

    Because we now, Windows complicate the World of almost every programmer, but the feeling in the hands of the final user is something of really high

    @calmyourtities mint is great for that, can't be bothered looking it up but there's one that's almost identical in looks as well.

    Also someone needs build a social networking site where you can "add" people as "friend" and message them

    Its not linux but there is a ReactOS. It runs on their own opensource kernel with the goal of being able to run winfows 98 and xp software.
