Was browsing job sites and noticed an 'experienced sysadmin' job (Linux).

Everything seemed pretty interesting and then I saw this line (at what they offer):

Free own domain with hosting!

That's genuinely cute offering that to an experienced Linux sysadmin. Not saying every sysadmin has this but I for example have like 10 domain names and a bunch of servers.

Yeah that looked cute 😆

For someone having 16 domains and servers for almost $100/Month, this offer is stupid

for saving what exactly? I have a domain and about 100$ per year, don't find that attractive.
Add to it Vultr, DigitalOcean and others with low prices.

The job ad didn't specify which level domain right? Get a .linuxxx TLD.

@Linux I do want to but I find 70 euros for a domain name a bit much. Still thinking about it :).

@linux speaking of domains are you having trouble with Vultr, can't seem to access my Miami server, not even from the portal. Can't reboot nor shutdown from the portal keep getting timeout error on the website.
Their online console gives error 1006.

Checked their stayus and all is up.

Last thing I did yesterday was a reboot command to make sure everything shuts down in the system rather manually doing it
